The float plane dropped them off about 100 miles north of the Arctic Circle. What a place to choose for your summer holiday!!!

The morning I left was Yellowknife airshow. The stars were the Canadian flying team 'The Snowbirds'. All their planes are kept in a secure perimeter and not accessible to the public - unless your best friend in yellowknife's ( Cherie ) husband had a friend, had a daughter who is married to an ex-snowbird pilot ! Reid was one of the Aviation Technicians who showed us around.
Very good of them to do a flyby as I was boarding the plane...
and even better of them to land right by by plane window...
